UPPAbaby MINU Travel Stroller Review – Boston Chic Party

UPPAbaby MINU Travel Stroller Review

This is a sponsored post written by me on behalf of UPPAbaby. All opinions are 100% mine.

We’ve been using UPPAbaby products with Nicholas since he was born- he went home from the hospital in the MESA car seat– and we’ve loved them just as long! The quality of their products is amazing and I’ve been a total fan girl of our everyday stroller, the VISTA which we used from birth with the bassinet. When UPPAbaby came out with a new travel stroller, the MINU, I knew I would want to try that out once we started traveling more. My friends at UPPAbaby (it’s a Massachusetts based company!) were generous enough to send me a MINU so I’ve been test driving while Nicholas has been test riding this summer.

The MINU is the ultimate portable stroller and weighing in at only 15 pounds, it is super easy to carry even if you happen to be traveling solo with your little one. Before trying the MINU I had some hesitations on if a lightweight stroller like this would offer a smooth ride for Nicholas and be as easy to navigate. It definitely has been! We brought the MINU on our recent trip to Martha’s Vineyard and the ride was super smooth even on longer walks, like 2+ miles. If you are a current UPPAbaby user, you’ll be just as happy as I was to get so many of the great features you love from your stroller in this more compact version. We love the UPF 50 sunshade to protect Nicholas from the sun and he loves playing peekaboo with it :). I also love that there is a sizable storage basket under the stroller to fit your diaper bag or other items you may need.

While the MINU is perfect for travel, I’ve used it when shopping, when we visited the zoo and the Children’s Museum. The narrower frame is amazing for navigating crowded spots or places that aren’t necessarily stroller friendly. My absolute favorite MINU moment was during our vacation- we went to a dock side restaurant for lunch and the tables are somewhat close together to maximize space I assume. I rolled the MINU right up to the patio, parked it, unbuckled Nicholas and held him while closing the stroller with one hand and placing it on my shoulder with the shoulder strap. A middle age man sitting at one of the tables couldn’t help but compliment on how “handy” my stroller was. When random people who definitely aren’t in the market for a new stroller are complimenting your stroller capabilities, you know you’ve got a good one 🙂

My absolute favorite thing about the MINU? The ability to open and close it one handed. I’m obsessed with how easy it is!

If you need a lightweight stroller, but don’t want to skimp on quality, I couldn’t recommend the UPPAbaby MINU enough! Oh and while we did not use it, I wanted to mention that the MINU can be used from birth with the birth kit which includes the ability for your baby to lay completely flat securely and also has adapters for the MESA car seat to make traveling even easier!

Hopefully I answered any questions you might have about the MINU stroller, but if not please leave me a comment or reach out to me and I’ll do my best to answer! I’m now off to brainstorm our next vacation destination we can take MINU to 🙂

xoxo, Jenna
