Blooming Valentine’s Day Gift for Teachers – Boston Chic Party

Blooming Valentine’s Day Gift for Teachers

This is a sponsored post written by me on behalf of Shaw’s Supermarket. All opinions are 100% mine.

This year more than ever I think we are all feeling extra thankful for our teachers! I know in our family we are so appreciative of Nicholas’ teachers for how well they are managing things right now while helping our little one learn. I think any of my friends who have older kids in remote learning say the same! With Valentine’s Day around the corner, I thought it would be fun to spread some love to the teachers in our life.

As flowers are obviously a Valentine’s Day tradition, it seemed like the perfect gift for Nicholas’ teachers. And we were able to make a cute, punny card to go along with them to show how much we appreciate everything they are doing to help Nicholas “bloom”! To create the Valentine’s card, I cut cardstock in the shape of a heart. Then using a clean sponge, Nicholas sponge painted using pink and red paint to decorate the Valentine. Once dry, we glued on a construction paper heart and on the heart I wrote “Thanks for helping me bloom!”. I thought this was a really fun way to tie in the floral gift to the card and also honor all the work teachers do! This gift would also be great for a caregiver, nanny, au pair- any important person in your child’s life that you’d like to show your appreciation to.

Over the holidays I had the chance to receive some florals from debi lilly design™ offerings at Shaw’s Supermarket and attend a virtual floral arranging class with Debi Lilly herself. I was very impressed with the quality of the flowers and how long they lasted- way longer than any flowers I have ever purchased at a grocery store! This made me very excited to check out the limited edition Valentine’s collection that debi lilly design™ available at Shaw’s. When selecting items for our Valentine’s teacher gifts, I decided to go with a blooming plant for a few reasons. Buying a plant instead of a fresh cut bouquet let me buy the items earlier when I was already shopping for groceries and also I liked that hopefully his teachers could have enjoy the plant even longer. And I could not resist adding on the adorable Pearl Flower Pot Cover- it really dresses up the plant when giving as a gift. While I shopped for our blooming teacher Valentine gifts at Shaw’s you can also find the exclusive debi lilly design™ high-quality, high-style pieces all at a value in the floral department at the Albertsons Companies family of stores, including Albertsons, Safeway, ACME Markets, Jewel-Osco, Vons, Randalls, Star Market, Tom Thumb and Vons.

Nicholas and I can’t wait to bring our blooming Valentine’s to his teachers later this week! I love spreading the love for Valentine’s Day beyond just my hubby, to my sister, my best girlfriends and now to our teachers too!

Happy Valentine’s Day to you all- sending you much love!

xoxo, Jenna
